Strawberry Rhubarb Tart

Description
Delicious use of early summer farmstand bounty!
Ingredients
- 1 --- tart shell
- 1 1⁄2 c pastry cream
- 1 c rhubarb compote
- 1 pt strawberries
- --- apple or currant jelly
Instructions
Layer pastry cream and compote in tart shell. Slice strawberries and place them decoratively in circular patterns, working from the outside of the tart in. Conversely, if berries are small enough, they can be placed whole on the tart.
Heat a couple of tablespoons of jelly until liquid. Brush onto tart for an even sheen.
Serve within an hour or so.
