Our Farm Stand

The Stand on Lounsbury Road is open seven days a week from 10:30am to 7pm. Please visit often to see what new fruits and vegetables are coming off the farm. We will expand and be open seven days a week later in June once the harvest starts rolling in.

How does it work? The stand works on an honor system. Just weigh your vegetables and leave your payment in the tin box (there is a pad and pen for the math!)

And thank you in advance for supporting a local farm!

Please note: In addition to The Stand on Lounsbury Road, The Hickories will be participating in the new Ridgefield Farmers' Market. It will be held Fridays from 3-6pm on Route 35 in the center of Ridgefield. Please come by to visit us and meet other local farmers.

About Our Crops - Certified Organic

Our farm is certified organic under the Bay State Organic/ USDA National Organic Program. All vegetables sold at our stand are free of snthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilizer. They have been grown following the sustainable principles of organic land care. It is important to note, however, that our orchard fruit (apples and peaches and quinces) are cultivated using IPM (integrated pest management) practices and we occasionally must use a non-organic spray to save our crop. Whenever possible we use organic practices on the orchard fruit, but it is not 100% - an important distinction from our vegetables and low-growing fruits. Our chickens and pigs are raised on natural, anti-biotic free grain and fresh pasture grass.

Every year we harvest the following fruits: Blueberries
Strawberries
Raspberries
Peaches
Apples
Concord Grapes
Quinces
