Tomatillo Salsa Verde

Description

A delicious salsa made with farm-fresh tomatillos, cilantro, jalepenos, garlic, and.... local limes?

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 lb tomatillos
  • 1 --- good-sized onion
  • 2 --- jalepenos (seeded)
  • 1⁄2 c fresh coriander / cilantro (about the leaves of one bunch)
  • 2 --- limes
  • 1⁄4 t salt

Instructions

Remove the husks from tomatillos.

Cut the tomatillos in half and place them cut side down on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil until they turn slightly black on top (some water will come out of them, but it doesn't matter).

Put everything in a food processor or blender and blend until it's the consistency of the picture here.

Chill and serve with chips!
