Look at our brown feathers (and more food?)

I wanted to share some new pictures of our big chicks. How cute are their brown feathers? Their names are Linny, Tuck and Ming-Ming for you Wonder Pets fans out there.

Also Dina I wanted to ask about getting more food. Is there somewhere we can buy it? We seem to be going though it very quickly with the chicks throwing it out of the feeder and my cleaning it when it has shavings and poop mixed in.

p.s. What are the circles developing on the sides of their heads?

others running low on feed?

Those circles are their ears and ear feathers. As for food I am a little nervous that you are running low. Perhaps raise the feeder as well and they will be less likely to spill it all over the place. That ration of 14 lbs of food was good for three chicks for 6 weeks. So... of course you can come to the farm for more, but we need to figure out how to save the feed a little better. Are others running low, too? Maybe its the feeders. Also, you do not need to change the food when you change the water, right?

we're running low too...

I was just logging on to ask about food also. We have had one tipping over of the feeder so that contributed... but we need more too. We only change the food when it's necessary I think...
